I am currently detained at Silverwater Correctional Complex as an inmate. I will be eligible for parole in 2018.

I love writing poetry and reading books. My other hobbies include; mountain climbing, camping, swimming, fishing, kayaking, running, jogging and walking on the beach.

As a prisoner I gained many experiences on my path from immaturity to becoming a matured person. I learnt from my past mistakes and to this day I am sorry for what I did. Only if I can bring back time and undo the wrongs of my past – I would not do such a crime.

In prison I have discovered redemption and the chains on my feet have suddenly came off. I turned to re-educating myself and went to Open University Australia using correspondence studies and have finished my major in Sociology. It is hard to study while in jail because of the lack of resources and internet access, however I managed to stay on course due to the great will of God.

After so many years I prison, I discovered that life should be valued and not taken for granted. Life is precious, not only have I rediscovered my transformation but I have discovered faith in God.

These are some passages from the Bible that help me to survive many traumatic experiences mentally and physically.

  • “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.’

          Hebrews 13:5

  • “When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.”

         1 Corinithians 13:11

I am currently writing poems as my hobby and studying Bible courses through correspondence. I also mentor inmates in my pod doing educational courses within corrections. When i am realeased into the community I have jobs waiting for me.

Faith, Love & Hope is my motto.
