Hi,
I am currently being detained at the Southern Queensland Correctional Centre near Gatton in Queensland.
In January 2009 I was in an alteration with 3 people which resulted in 2 of them dying. I was convicted in April 2012 and I continue to challenge the outcome.
The facts of my case should have resulted in a self-defense/manslaughter ruling but things don’t always go your way. Either way, I have to pay for what has had a devastating effect on many people and something I wish I could undo.
I have 3 beautiful daughters who are my entire world and reason for living and an ex-wife who will always be my best friend. My family and friends continue to love and support me and for that I will always be grateful.
While in jail I have become a representative on our prisoner advisory committee (PAC), to fight for our rights in the jail system and work on making it a better environment. I have also furthered my education and obtained diplomas in OH&S, project management and business management as well as certificate 4in training and assessing. I am also learning to play the guitar.
Before I came to jail I owned my own landscaping business and employed 8 people. I was a family oriented person and very popular with everyone I knew, always up for a laugh but despised the way in which the government basically ran everyone’s life.
Australia, a free country, as long as you are doing exactly as you are told and believe the government has your best interests at heart. I DON’T!!
I will never stop fighting for what is right.
